			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>It has been noted and counted that the average American consumer takes in more than 130 actual pounds of sugar each and every year.&nbsp; Well that is at present in 2009.&nbsp; The numbers continue to increase and grow every year.&nbsp; Yet some are concerned that we have taken almost all fats out of our diet &#8211; fats are considered &#8220;evil” and more than harmful at best.&nbsp;&nbsp; Yet the plague of obesity continues to grow &#8211; even in third world counties who do not have fast food or a single Mc Donald’s &#8220;Golden Arches” restaurant in sight.&nbsp; Is this plague of obesity a result of our eliminating all fats possible in our diets and replacing intakes with carbohydrates?</p>
<p>Excess sugar can be converted by the body itself into the storage medium, saturated fat and fats, which themselves and be bad for your brain and your heart cardiac system as well.&nbsp; A high sugar diet can increase <a title="free radical activity" href="http://dimebonalzheimers.com/tag/free-radical-activity/">free radical activity</a> and damage brain cells, contributing itself to additional and further memory loss.&nbsp;&nbsp; In addition it has been found sugar also makes our bodies less able to successfully fight off infections in our immune systems which then again are not a good thing by any measure or test.
